Frequently asked questions
Answers about Linking Audio, licensing, plans, and Fon Music Venue. There is no contact form on this page. Use the email that matches your topic.
What is Linking Audio?
Linking Audio licenses music and sound effects for creators, and offers Fon Music Venue as background music for commercial venues.
Are the assets royalty-free?
Yes, under the plan you buy. Royalty-free does not mean you own the recording or that every use is included. Pick Creator, Pro, or Fon Music Venue for the use you actually need.
What do Creator and Pro cover?
Creator, $6 per month or $54 per year. Personal video for social media, podcasts, and websites. 2 saved social accounts and 2 team seats.
Pro, $12 per month or $115 per year. Everything in Creator, plus eligible digital advertising, freelance client work, 5 saved social accounts, and 5 team seats.
Saved social accounts are a total for the plan. They are not counted per platform. The pricing page is the checkout source.
What is Fon Music Venue?
Background music for restaurants, cafes, bars, stores, and hotels. Monthly plan $6. Annual plan $60. Both prices are in US dollars. The annual plan saves $12 compared with paying monthly for 12 months. Creator and Pro do not replace it.
Can I try Linking Audio for free?
A free account lets you explore and preview music and sound effects. Downloads and the publishing uses covered by a paid plan require Creator or Pro. The discovery trial is 7 days.
How large is the library?
Public pages describe more than 400,000 music tracks and sound effects. The live catalog is what you can search on the Music and Sound Effects pages.
Do I need to register a channel or video before I publish?
You do not need to register a channel, a video, or a project before you publish. A social account link added on your profile is saved immediately. It is not reviewed, it has no approval status, and it is not a condition of publishing.
When does a video need to be published?
A covered video must be published on a date inside the start and end dates of a Creator or Pro subscription on the account. The publish date is the date that counts for a public, unlisted, private, or scheduled video. Uploading the same video again, or publishing it on another platform, is a new publish date. That date must also fall inside a Creator or Pro subscription period on the account.
What happens if an artist leaves Linking Audio?
If an artist leaves Linking Audio, the tracks that artist released through Linking Audio belong to Linking Audio.
