License and terms

Copyright Policy

Linking Audio respects intellectual property rights. The catalog is licensed for specific uses under the subscription that applies. This page explains how a rights holder can report a concern and how a member can respond.

Music, sound effects, artwork, and website content may be protected by copyright. A Creator, Pro, or Fon Music Venue subscription grants only the rights that license states. It does not transfer ownership or allow the original files to be redistributed as standalone assets.

Member responsibilities

  • Use the appropriate license. Creator is for covered personal video, social media, podcasts, and websites. Pro adds eligible digital advertising and freelance client work. Fon Music Venue is for background music in eligible commercial venues.
  • Respect artist credits when the license or the asset requires them.
  • Use the licensed files. Do not strip watermarks from previews or publish a preview in place of a licensed download.
  • Do not claim authorship of music or sound effects created by Linking Audio artists or other rights holders.
  • Do not redistribute assets as standalone files unless the license expressly allows it.

Reporting copyright infringement

If you are the copyright owner or an authorized representative, email copyright@linkingaudio.com and include:

  • Your full name and contact information.
  • Identification of the copyrighted work.
  • The URL or other detail that lets us locate the material.
  • Why you believe the use is not authorized.
  • A statement that the notice is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorized to act for them.
  • Your physical or electronic signature, where the applicable law requires one.

We review notices and may remove or disable access while the matter is assessed. Where it is appropriate, we may contact the member and allow a response. A notice does not guarantee removal. We may ask for more information.

Responding to a copyright notice

If your content was removed or disabled and you believe that was a mistake, email copyright@linkingaudio.com with your name, contact details, the material affected, and why you believe the restriction was incorrect. A formal counter-notification can require extra statements under the law that applies. We review the response and decide the next step.

Repeat infringement

Members who repeatedly infringe rights, redistribute licensed assets without permission, or use assets outside the subscription may be restricted, suspended, or terminated, subject to the applicable terms and law.

Artist submissions

Artists who want to submit music should use the For Artists page. The copyright address is for infringement notices, not catalog submissions.
